At that time, the association was still operating under the name Prepaid Forum Germany, or PFD for short. In July 2012, it was registered as an association in the Frankfurt am Main Register of Associations. The association quickly positioned itself as the association for the prepaid industry operating in Germany. As a result, the name was changed to Prepaid Association Germany, or PVD for short, in October 2013.\n<\/p>\n<p>Since then, many renowned companies have joined the industry association. Currently, more than 20 companies are members of the PVD.
